Import from TV Time
Lost years of watch history when TV Time went dark? Don’t mourn it — move it in. Televise has a built-in importer that pulls across every show, its status, and every episode you’d already ticked off. (TV shows and anime only — movies get left behind.)
1. Export your data from TV Time
Section titled “1. Export your data from TV Time”You can use either export:
- Recommended — Refract extension: install “TV Time Out by Refract” in Chrome or Safari, sign in to tvtime.com, then click the extension icon → Export → Download JSON.
- Official TV Time export: sign in at tvtime.com, open Settings → Privacy → Request my data, then download and unzip the archive to get your CSV file.
2. Get the file onto your iPhone
Section titled “2. Get the file onto your iPhone”AirDrop the JSON (or CSV) file to your iPhone, or save it to Files / iCloud Drive so you can open it there.
3. Import into Televise
Section titled “3. Import into Televise”Open Televise and start the import. When prompted, open your TV shows file in the Files app and select it — Televise reads it and imports every show, status and watched episode automatically.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”Is the import free? Yes — importing costs nothing, and Televise Plus isn’t required.
Do I need a computer? For the Refract extension, use a desktop or laptop browser. The official TV Time export can be requested from any browser. Either way, the import itself happens on your iPhone.
Will my movies import? No — Televise tracks TV and anime, so movies in the export are ignored.
